Remark
- 1-4 grades are considered junior, 5-7 grades – senior.
- Duration of a lesson is 45 minutes.
- Subject ”Specialty” is a process of teaching to play one of seven instruments (Acoustic piano, Guitar, acoustic bass, percussion instruments, saxophone, trumpet) and vocal.
- Jazz specialization starts from the 2nd year of education.
- In the 1st grade there is a subject called “Listening of music”, which in the 2nd grade is replaced by the subject called “History of music”.
- Quantitative membership in groups on subjects is from 3 to 6 people.
- Introduction into the curriculum of the subject “Foreign language” (English) is caused by the necessity of acquisition of ability to use jazz terminology easily and to perform vocal jazz compositions in original.
- Final assessment is held in the 7th grade
- Graduating from the department pupils are given a certificate

Remark
- Working curriculum is intended for lessons in 8-10 classes.
- Duration of a lesson is 45 minutes.
- The quantity of compulsory lessons in the period of theoretical education does nor exceed 16 hours a week (elective is possible – paid hour “Studying of related instruments”).
- Tests and academic concerts which are a form of knowledge assessment are held 4 times a year.
- Professional practice is possible on the school basis (pedagogic, performer’s and concertmaster’s).
- Final assessment is held in the 10th grade.
- Graduating from the department pupils are given a certificate.
